        this has been postponed to Sunday 23oct
        got estimate for violations: $4678; for entire house & garage: $7758 see estimate
        Uston recommends not painting till May because it needs to be >50° overnight for paint to cure properly

        he said to call if haven't heard from him in a couple of weeks
        2006apr15 Dwight came and pressure-washed house; gave him $480
        he will get paint and call M or T (17-18)

      clean all gutters house: CH says still incomplete even tho new gutters & gutter covers are on 2006apr21 "advisory" inspector said gutters are OK & he'll take them off the list
      clean all gutters garage: mike did this in nov. jan: CH says still incomplete they are right; leaves fell in after Mike cleared them out in Nov

        accepted their estimate 20sep; left deposit of $1150 on total work of ~$3400
        estimated starting work in around 2 weeks (that would be 3-4 oct)
        they came; fixed part of wood 29sep.
        showed Uston more suspicious wood; he said they'll fix that as they put in the gutters.
        gutters supposed to be coming Tue 4oct.
        people should be cleaning out the drainspouts over the weekend (oct 1-2). this was done.
        if it still leaks the next rain, let him know.
        08oct: it does leak in a few places; you can see sky between gutter and fascia near nw corner. Called and left message.
        11oct leak should be fixed by installation of gutter guards, which go over this area; see if it works ; this is dependent on new front porch roof, happening 14-15oct; put gutter guards over this area finally 18oct; need to check for leaks doesn't seem to leak 20oct

        04oct gutter is mostly done except for some stuff at the back; Uston says to phone him 235-7663 about doing the rest
        • replace/repair front drive side corner tongue & groove wood & fascia done but leaks should be repaired 11oct ; this is dependent on new front porch roof, happening 14-15oct ; put gutter guards over this area finally 18oct; need to check for leaks doesn't seem to leak 20oct
        • replace all gutters & downspouts w/ evergreen ozt aluminum gutters & spouts. (any additional fascia replacement needed is $4 per foot) [this was 32 feet] done but leaks should be repaired 11oct ; this is dependent on new front porch roof, happening 14-15oct ; put gutter guards over this area finally 18oct; need to check for leaks doesn't seem to leak 20oct
        • replace 1 crock / mortar in ground crock replaced but not mortared in; check on this. 13oct Uston mortared this one. 2 rear ones (not cited) that used to be mortared before the gutter replacement have left open because "jeff" will be back with a new auger to try to clear out the underground sewer line. this was mortared to meet the inspection 18oct
        • optional install 10 year warranted gutter screens $1680 [yes] not done yet in process or done 11oct
        • optional snake out below ground w/ sewer snake $55 per drain [yes] done but didn't go all the way through; "jeff" will be back with a new auger to try to clear out the underground sewer line. [per uston 11oct] 30oct did this happen? not sure.

    4. south center bad storm window, bad sill CH still has some problem not sure what as of jan 2006; 2006apr21 inspector said we should remove the hardware from windows that have no storm window

      asked Uston about windowsill repair; he said that would be a good job for the winter. but we need it done before winter :( 11oct: will get back to us with phone for Ray. "not a good problem solver, but a good craftsman. you have to keep on top of him."

    1. asked John Kinney about this 18oct2005; he recommends green sheetrock followed by tiling over it up to level of showerhead. we have the sheetrock on the front porch left over from other repairs.
